No, nutritional value calculation is not available anymore in Recipe Center 6.0.

How do I put a "/" in the quantity line for a new recipe that I am trying to add? I can't seem to get it typed. What do I need to do?
In Recipe Center 6.0, you have an option to display the unit of the ingredient either in decimal or fraction form. This can be set under TOOLS > OPTIONS. However, when you modify the ingredients, you need to input the value in decimal form because the program does not allow fraction inputs. When you save this input, the program will convert this value into fraction (provided you chose fraction form in the Option) and that will be reflected on the display.

How I can separate or categorize recipes?
Recipes can be separated or categorized by using the Keywords function. You can configure the Keywords for each recipe by modifying them. You can either right click on the recipe then select Modify or you can also use the Modify button.

On the Modify window, click the Keywords button to go to the Manage Keywords window.

Miscellaneous

Do I need to download the .NET Framework installer to use Recipe Center 6.0? The download time for this software seems too long.
The Recipe Center 6.0 installer does not include the .NET Framework installer file but it is one of the requirements. The Recipe Center 6.0 installer only loads the Windows Update page automatically so the user can download the .NET Framework from there. Downloading and installation would take time if you have a slow Internet connection.

Do I have to be online to use Recipe Center 6.0?
You do not need to be connected to the internet while using Recipe Center 5 (if Recipe Center 5 is already installed in your computer) unless you want to download/submit recipes from/to the RecipeCenter.com site.

How do I create a new Recipe Center database?
You can create as many Recipe Center databases as you wish and treat them as separate cookbooks. You can easily store all your recipes in one database, but if you want, you can also store them in different databases.

To create a new database, just go to WINDOWS EXPLORER, then go to the DATA folder of RecipeCenter directory. "COPY" the database " RecipeCenter.rcs", then paste it in the same folder. It will create a copy. Just right-click on the file name and make a new name for it.

Open the database with Recipe Center, then delete all the existing recipes by putting them all in the basket and deleting it as a group. You will have a new, empty database.

How do I create a backup of my recipe database?
We recommend you to create backups of your Recipe Center database and pictures (as you should for any of your personal files) regularly.

Files that should be included in the backup are all placed at a convenient place:
My Documents\My RecipeCenter\

The database is under the sub-folder \Data and the pictures under the sub-folder \Photo, but you may backup the entire "My Documents\My RecipeCenter\" folder.
